Using cloisonne as the traditional handcraft in China, The best quality and most expensive among badges types. Cloisonne has a limited enamel colors than soft enamel or hard enamel colours. To custom cloisonne badges need more longer production time than regular custom badges . But Cloisonne is also the longest life pin badges, it can be preserved 100+ years without fading. Copper is the only material for custom cloisonne badge.
Similar soft enamel, hard enamel badges use PMS colors system, also named epola, synthetic enamel, semi-cloisonne and imitation enamel badges. It's very rich colors system than Cloisonne. Imitation enamel badges have the similar look as cloisonnel but a cheaper cost . So hard enamel is good replace for expensive cloisonne. In many cases hard enamel will need to printed letters or graphics on the surface(metal or enamel). We make the silk screen on the hard enamel. Silk screen make many letter can be done which can't be filled in enamel colors for small letter size.
